Why is it so important to pray the Rosary? Simply because the Virgin Mary herself explicitly asks us to pray the it! In 1858, in Lourdes, after an apparition, Saint Bernadette recounted: “As if driven by an uncontrollable force, I took my rosary and fell to my knees. The Virgin Mary gave me a sign of approval and took the rosary that hung on her right arm into her hands. [...] She let me pray alone. She silently passed the beads of her rosary through her fingers.” And again, in Fatima, in 1917, Mary said to the three young children: “I want you to recite the rosary every day in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary, to obtain peace in the world and the end of the war.” Not to mention the thousands of other apparitions of the Virgin Mary (in Gietrzwald, Poland; Rue du Bac; Akita, Japan, etc.)... With every appearance, the message is the same! All the messages, no matter how they are delivered, can be summed up in these words: “Convert and pray the rosary every day.” How can we ignore the call of our Heavenly Mother? It has become essential to offer our hearts to Mary and to encourage others to do the same. You too, samo, can follow the example of Kelsie, a participant in Pauline’s Challenge, who shared with me: “I didn’t feel connected to this prayer at all and I thought I wouldn’t take part in the challenge. But then, after your email, I realized that since I believe it’s the right thing to do, it’s time to surrender and embrace a prayer that the Virgin herself asks for.” Pauline’s Challenge starts tomorrow! Join the adventure that starts with downloading Rosario :) |
