The Collect of The Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
.
Deus, in cujus passióne, secúndum Simeónis prophetíam, dulcíssimam ánimam gloriósae Vírginis et Matris Maríæ dolóris gládius pertransívit: concéde propítius; ut, qui dolóres ejus venerándo recólimus, passiónis tuæ efféctum felícem consequámur: Qui vivis et regnas cum Deo Patre, in unitáte Spíritus Sancti, Deus, per ómnia sæcula sæculórum.
.
O God, in Whose passion the sword of grief did pierce the gentle soul of the glorious Virgin Mary, Thy Mother, that so might be fulfilled the word of Thy Prophet Simeon: mercifully grant that we who here do call to mind her sorrows; may be fulfilled with the blessed fruits of Thy Passion. Who livest and reignest with God the Father, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end.
----------------------------------------
The Collect of the Seventeenth Sunday after Pentecost.
.
.
Grant Thy people, we beseech Thee, O Lord, to shun the defilements of the devil, and with pure hearts to follow Thee, the only God. Through Jesus Christ Thy Son our Lord, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end.
--------------------------------------
Collect of St. Nicomedes, Martyr.
.
.
We beseech Thee, O Lord, mercifully to assist Thy people: that, like as we do venerate the singular merits of Thy blessed Martyr Saint Nicomedes, so his advocacy may at all times succour us to the obtaining of Thy mercy. Through Jesus Christ Thy Son our Lord, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee, in the unity of the same Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end.

The Epistle of The Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Judith 13: 22 & 23-25
.
.
The Lord hath blessed thee by his power, because by thee He hath brought our enemies to nought. Blessed art thou, O daughter, by the Lord the most High God, above all women upon the earth. Blessed be the Lord Who hath made heaven and earth: because He hath so magnified thy name this day, that thy praise shall not depart out of the mouth of men who shall be mindful of the power of the Lord for ever, for that thou hast not spared thy life, by reason of the distress and tribulation of thy people, but hast prevented our ruin in the presence of our God.

The Gradual, Alleluia and Sequence:
.
Dolorósa et lacrimábilis es, Virgo María, stans juxta Crucem Dómini Jesu Fílii tui Redemptóris.
.
Mournful and weeping art thou, O Virgin Mary; who standest by the Cross of the Lord Jesus, thy Son, the Redeemer.
.
V. Virgo Dei Génitrix, quem totus non capit orbis, hoc Crucis fert supplícium, auctor vitæ factus homo.
.
V. Virgin Mother of God, the whole world cannot contain Him: yet made man, the Author of our life endureth the torment of the Cross.
.
Allelúja, allelúja. Stabat sancta María, cæli Regína, et mundi Dómina, juxta Crucem Dómini nostri Jesu Christi dolorósa.
.
Alleluia, alleluia. There stood by the Cross of Our Lord Jesus Christ holy Mary, Queen of heaven, and Lady of the World, mournful and weeping.
.
Stabat Mater dolorósa
Juxta Crucem lacrimósa,
Dum pendébat Fílius.
Cujus ánimam geméntem,
Contristátam et doléntem,
Pertransívit gládius.
O quam tristis et afflícta
Fuit illa benedícta
Mater Unigéniti!
Quæ mærébat, et dolébat,
Pia Mater, dum vidébat
Nati pœnas ínclyti.
Quis est homo, qui non fleret,
Matrem Christi si vidéret
In tanto supplício.
Quis non posset contristári,
Christi Matrem contemplári
Doléntem cum Fílio?
Pro peccátis suæ gentis
Vidit Jesum in torméntis,
Et flagéllis súbditum.
Vidit suum dulcem natum
Moriéndo desolátum,
Dum emísit spíritum.
Eja Mater, fons amóris,
Me sentíre vim dolóris
Fac, ut tecum lúgeam.
Fac ut árdeat cor meum
In amándo Christum Deum,
Ut sibi compláceam.
Sancta Mater, istud agas,
Crucifíxi fige plagas
Cordi meo válide.
Tui nati vulneráti,
Tam dignáti pro me pati,
Pœnas mecum dívide.
Fac me tecum pie flere
Crucifíxo condolére
Donec ego víxero.
Juxta Crucem tecum stare,
Et me tibi sociáre
In planctu desídero.
Virgo vírginum præclára,
Mihi jam non sis amára:
Fac me tecum plángere.
Fac, ut portem Christi mortem,
Passiónis fac consórtem,
Et plagas recólere.
Fac me plagis vulnerári,
Fac me Cruce inebriári,
Et cruóre Fílii.
Flammis ne urar succénsus,
Per te, Virgo, sim defénsus
In die judícii.
Christe, cum sit hinc exíre,
Da per Matrem me veníre
Ad palmam victóriæ.
Quando corpus moriétur,
Fac, ut ánimæ donétur
Paradísi glória. Amen. Allelúja.

By the Cross her station keeping,
Stood the mournful Mother weeping,
Where he hung, her dying Lord.
For her soul, of joy bereaved,
Torn with anguish, deeply grieved,
Felt the sharp and piercing Sword.
O how sad and sore distressed
Then was she, that Mother blessed
Of the sole-begotten One.
Deep the woe of her affliction
When she saw the Crucifixion
Of her ever-glorious Son.
Who, on Christ's dear Mother gazing,
Torn by anguish so amazing,
Born of woman, would not weep?
Who, on Christ's dear Mother thinking,
Such a cup of sorrow drinking,
Would not share her sorrow deep?
For His people's sins chastised,
She her Jesus saw despised,
Torn with nails, with thorns entwined.
Saw her Son from judgment taken
And in death by all forsaken
Till His spirit He resigned.
Mother, fount of all devotion,
Stir in me thy grief's emotion,
Let my tears be joined with thine.
Let my heart be always burning,
Still for love of Jesus yearning,
Let His will be found in mine.
True repentance, Mother, win me;
Print my Saviour's wounds within me,
Brand them on my stubborn heart.
As He bought, through tribulation,
In His Passion, my salvation,
Let me bear therein my part.
Let me mourn with thee beside Him
For the sins which crucified Him,
While my life remains in me;
Take beneath the Cross my station,
And in all thy desolation
So unite myself with thee.
Virgin, great beyond all other,
Turn not from me, gentle Mother,
Let me too bewail thy Son.
Let my soul His death declaring,
His unsparing Passion sharing,
Count His bruises one by one.
Let the Five Wounds penetrate me,
May the Cross inebriate me
And thy Son's most precious Blood.
Lest I burn in hell's damnation,
Virgin, be my consolation
At the judgment-seat of God.
Jesu, when earth's troubles leave me,
Through Thy Mother's prayers receive me
To the crown of victory.
When my body lies forsaken,
May my soul by Him be taken
Into heaven's high company. Amen. Alleluia.

The Gospel of The Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary:
.
John 19: 25-27
.
.
At that time, there stood by the cross of Jesus His mother, and His mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple standing by, whom He loved, He saith unto His mother, Woman, behold thy son! Then saith He to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.

Offertory.
Jer. 18: 20
.
.
Remember, O Virgin Mother of God, that I stood before thee to speak good for them, and to turn away thy wrath from them.
